| The deployment of technology solutions that
are poorly chosen or which are haphazardly implemented may cause many
more problems than they solve. Therefore, for an IT solution to be
sound, the deployment plan must include a thorough understanding of
defining requirements of the application and equipment selection as
well as a complete and careful definition of the deployment process.
DigitalTech
has managed and participated in a number of IT Technology deployments
since 1984 and our experience minimizes the chance disruptions of
the customer business processes. One of the OEM deployment tasks
required the installation of upgrades of agency wide desktop systems.
Others involved the enhancement of e-server systems, and in one
customer required the configuration and installation of "fail safe"
technology in an effort to establish a total RAS
system. Most were managed by DigitalTech specialists
with specific experience and training relative to the nature and
scope of the deployment. In those instances where additional expertise
were needed, we secured the technological support agreements necessary
to ensure success .
Today the IT industry is developing innovative server technology
that is more complex and difficult to manage than those of the mainframe
era. These systems are the direct result of processing needs that
are more diverse, complex, and involve Web business services, Grid
computing and use many new open source technology such as Linux.
Consequently, it is important that user have a thorough understanding
of the resources to be deployed and a thoughtful analysis and plan
for adapting their new applications in a manner that improves the
totality of the operation and not solely the superficial appearance
of new installed hardware.
Our OEM and Consultant Partners provide special and sophisticated
tools to achieve an IT infrastructure that promotes the optimum
utilization of equipment and software. These tools protect the customer's
investment in the resources deployed, and assists in the effort
to integrate the accelerating wave of technology without disruption
of existing infrastructure and IT investments.
